Biography

Born March 14, 1946 in Dakar, Abdoulaye Makhtar Diop holds a degree in public law before being admitted to the administration section, finance and economics from the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM).

In 1975, he completed his training with his pocket Civil Administrator Diploma. Abdoulaye Makhtar Diop has held several positions in the Senegalese administration. He was Assistant General Secretary, Ministry of Finance (1975-1978), chief of staff Lamine Diack for mayor of Dakar (1978-1980), then Deputy Mamadou Diop in the same town for 13 years (from 1984 to 1996 ), and finally mayor of Dakar Plateau in 1996.
